After listening to Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series and having it become one of my all time favourite series, I had high expectations for this series. But sadly this book just didn't do it for me. The world building in Slave to Sensation is what got me to pick up the other books in the series. Using Sascha’s journey to show the crippling effects of Silence was an interesting way to tell the story and I enjoyed watching her learn how to feel.
